Default File Manger Permissions

New AABox user here that needs some help.

I need to edit my config file for oscmax. Using File manger I can navigate to the file but when I try to edit it, I get an error. '[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]'
On further investigation I think the the user/group has not been set up correctly when the account was set up. Surely the file system for my account should be owned by the account user - me and not the administrator which I see is '0' - zero.
Can somebody clarify this for me and come up with a fix.

regards Tony

Tony,

could be a matter of chowning the files to your account permissions. If hosted with us, submit a ticket and have support check it out for you. If not, have your host chown the files to your username.

Yes I am hosted on AABox.
I know what is required to claim the ownership but this account was supposed to have been set up fully configured with OSCmax installed.
Its quite clear that this virtual hosting account has not been set up with the correct ownership otherwise I wouldn't have been asking this question.
This is such a real shame I have hit a snag at such an early stage.

regards Tony

Tony,

The fastest way to get things sorted out is to submit a support ticket instead of posting to unmonitored forums - this would have been resolved for you in minutes.

This forum is not monitored regularly by the support staff, I did however locate your account, and your issue with ownership was resolved.
