Default HowTo Create POP email accounts in CPANEL

  1. Login to your CPANEL account

  3. Click the Add Account link near the bottom of the page
  4. Enter the email address you want to use in the box next to Email:
  5. Set thje password you want to use for this new email account in the box next to Password:
  6. Leave the quota set to unlimited.
  7. Click the Create button.
You have now created a new email account, and you can now set up your email client per it's requirements.

Part 2 - Login problems
If you're having difficulty logging in to your email account, make sure you are entering your username in the correct format:

For the default (catchall) user - "user"
For other POP accounts - "user@domain.com"

The entire e-mail address is the username for additional POP accounts. The only POP account that does not use this format is the default POP account that is created during signup. The default (catchall) POP account uses the same username/password as your primary account username/password.

Certain email clients do not like the @ symbol. In this case you should try the following username formats:

username+domain.com

or

username%domain.com
